Every Fobest custom brass range hood is handcrafted to order. Choose a starting design and customize the dimensions, mounting configuration, brass finish, crown, apron, straps, rivets and ventilation system to fit your kitchen.

Construction: Fobest brass range hoods are handcrafted from heavy-duty 16-gauge brass according to the selected product specifications. Available features include removable baffle filters, multi-speed controls and integrated LED lighting.

Available Widths: Standard widths include 30", 36", 42", 48", 54" and 60". Custom widths, heights and depths are also available.

Choose Your Brass Finish

Brushed Brass: A warm gold finish with a visible directional grain and softer reflection. Brushed brass works well in modern, transitional and contemporary kitchens and coordinates easily with cabinet hardware, faucets and light fixtures.

Aged Brass: A deeper, more muted brass finish with intentional tonal variation and vintage character. Aged brass is well suited to traditional, farmhouse, European-inspired and old-world kitchen designs.

Polished Brass: A bright, reflective finish that creates a stronger visual statement. Polished brass is a good choice for luxury, Art Deco and high-contrast kitchens.

Brass finishes may look different under warm, cool and natural lighting. We recommend ordering brass finish samples before confirming the final material and finish.

Surface Details and Metal Accents

Available surface treatments may include smooth, brushed, non-directional and hammered details, depending on the selected design. Brushed, aged and polished describe the brass finish, while hammered or ribbed details describe the surface texture.

Custom Accents: Choose matching or contrasting straps, rivets, pot rails and trim in brushed brass, polished brass, aged brass, black, stainless steel or another compatible finish. The final combination is confirmed on the custom drawing before production.

Custom Shapes and Kitchen Styles

Customizable Components: The body, chimney, crown and apron can be adjusted to suit the kitchen. Decorative options include custom crown molding, apron patterns, straps, rivets, seams and pot rails.

Wall-Mount and Island-Mount Options

Every Fobest decorative brass hood design can be configured as either a wall-mount range hood or an island range hood. Wall-mount hoods are normally finished on three visible sides, while island hoods are finished on all four sides. Construction and recommended depth are adjusted for the selected mounting configuration.

Wall-Mount Sizing: The hood should be at least as wide as the cooktop. A hood 3"–6" wider may provide additional capture area. Standard wall-mount depth is generally 21"–24".

Island-Mount Sizing: Because an island hood is more exposed to cross-drafts, a hood 3"–6" wider than the cooktop is generally recommended. Standard island depth is approximately 27".

Mounting Clearance: The bottom of the hood is generally installed 30"–36" above the cooking surface. Final hood height is calculated using the ceiling height, cooking-surface height and selected mounting clearance. Review the range hood size guide before ordering.

Under-Cabinet Installation: Under-cabinet configurations require a compatibility review based on the cabinet opening, available height, hood depth and insert dimensions.

Blower and Ventilation Options

Internal Blower: The blower motor is installed inside the hood, and cooking air is discharged outdoors through ductwork. Typical internal blower options include 600 CFM for 30" and 36" hoods, 1150 CFM for 42" and 48" hoods, and 1260 CFM for 54" and 60" hoods, depending on the selected liner. Remote Blower: The blower motor is installed outside the decorative hood, typically in the attic or within the ventilation system, while the liner and controls remain inside the hood. Moving the motor away from the hood may reduce perceived motor noise in the kitchen. Fobest remote blower systems are generally rated at 1260 CFM. View remote blower options.

Ductless Conversion: Air passes through filters and is recirculated into the kitchen instead of venting outdoors. Current compatible ductless liner options generally provide approximately 390–395 CFM. Available sizes and liner compatibility must be confirmed before ordering. View ductless range hood options.

Hood Only: The decorative brass hood can be built around a customer-supplied insert or liner. The insert specifications and required opening dimensions must be reviewed and approved before production.

Brass Finish Protection and Care

Fobest brass hoods receive a professional clear protective coating designed to help preserve the selected finish and slow oxidation. Because brass is a metal material and each hood is handcrafted, minor variations in color, grain and surface details are normal.

Clean the exterior with a soft cloth, warm water and mild soap. Avoid abrasive pads, acidic cleaners, harsh chemicals and traditional metal polish, as these products may damage the protective coating. Heat, humidity, cleaning products and daily use may affect the appearance of the finish over time.

1. Choose a Starting Design: Select the brass hood shape closest to your preferred kitchen style.

2. Select the Brass Finish: Choose brushed, aged or polished brass and confirm the appearance with a physical sample when possible.

3. Provide Your Kitchen Information: Confirm the cooktop width, ceiling height, mounting location, preferred hood dimensions, decorative details and ventilation option.

4. Review the Custom Drawing: Fobest will prepare a drawing or rendering showing the agreed dimensions, construction and design details.

5. Approve Production: Review all dimensions and details carefully. Because the hood is made to order, changes generally cannot be made after the final drawing is approved and production begins.
