Step 1: Customer Inquiry & Design Inspiration

The process begins when a customer contacts us through our website and shares their kitchen plans. This typically includes cabinet color, layout, and inspiration images.

In this real project, the customer was remodeling her kitchen and looking for a custom copper range hood to complement denim blue cabinetry. She uploaded her kitchen design and asked for professional recommendations.

Step 2: Size Planning & Initial Recommendation

After reviewing the kitchen layout, our team recommends an appropriate hood size based on cabinet width, cooktop size, and ceiling height.

For this project, we proposed a 36"W × 21"D × 39"H wall‑mount custom copper range hood, ensuring both visual balance and proper ventilation performance.

At this stage, the customer confirms whether the recommended size works or requests adjustments.

Step 3: Professional Hood Drawings

Once the size and general design direction are confirmed, we create detailed range hood drawings.

These drawings include:
-Front, side, back, top, and bottom views
-Exact dimensions
-Duct opening and liner position

The drawings allow the customer to clearly see how the custom range hood will be built and how it will fit into their kitchen. Production does not begin until the drawings are approved.

Step 4: Design Details Confirmation

In this project, the customer requested:
-Natural copper body
-Dark antique crown and apron
-Decorative straps and rivets

We updated the drawings to reflect these exact finish combinations so there would be no uncertainty before production.

Step 5: Final Approval of Drawing

After the drawings and finishes are finalized, the customer approved drawing. This locks in:
-Final specifications
-Finish selections
-Production schedule

At this point, the project officially moves into handcrafted production.

Step 6: Handcrafted Production

Each Fobest custom range hood is handcrafted by skilled artisans. The hood is formed, welded, finished, and assembled by hand according to the approved drawings. Quality checks are performed throughout the process. This is where the custom hood design becomes a physical range hood.

Step 7: Protective Crating & Shipping

Once completed, Fobest range hood is carefully wrapped, foam‑protected, and placed into a custom wooden crate for shipping.

Step 8: Installation & Finished Kitchen Reveal

After delivery and installation, the custom range hood becomes the centerpiece of the kitchen.

In this completed project, the natural copper hood paired beautifully with the blue cabinetry and stone backsplash, creating a warm, high‑end focal point. The customer later shared photos and feedback, noting how many compliments the hood received.
