The warm lights, the familiar kitchen scents, the quiet moments before everyone gathers — Thanksgiving always reminds us why the kitchen feels like the heart of a home.
And this year, as we pause in this warmth, we feel especially grateful.
This Thanksgiving also happens to be a meaningful milestone for us — FOBEST’s 13th year of being invited into people’s homes and becoming part of their kitchen renovation journeys.

Across this year, one theme stood out in the Kitchen Range Hoods we visited:
the rise of stainless steel paired with warm brass.
A mix that feels modern yet full of character — cool metal gaining a soft glow, a little personality, and a touch of warmth.
Walking into each customer’s home, we saw how this combination changed the room immediately. It didn’t just upgrade the kitchen;it made the space feel lived-in, welcoming, and uniquely theirs.
FSS-61 Kitchen Range Hood — A White & Brass Hood Inspired by California Light
The FSS-61 kitchen hood found its place in a bright, open-concept California kitchen — a clean, minimalist space where sunlight moves gently throughout the day. The white stainless steel range hood blended in instantly, matching the homeowner’s modern and simple style.
Inspired by California’s soft light and calm skies, we designed this custom white range hood with a white-and-brass palette — understated, warm, and quietly uplifting. Just like California sunshine, it doesn’t try to stand out, but its presence makes the whole room feel pleasant.
The matte white finish pairs naturally with the polished marble wall, creating a subtle texture contrast that adds depth to the kitchen; The brass trim brings a soft warmth, while the curved silhouette breaks away from the typical straight-edged stainless steel kitchen hood, giving the space a gentle elegance.
In this home, the combination of white stainless steel and brass felt effortless — a simple pairing that makes the kitchen brighter, more welcoming, and genuinely lived in.
FSS-124 Custom Range Hood — A Modern Stainless Steel Range Hood with a Quiet Warmth
The FSS-124 modern steel range hood began as a clean, curved stainless steel range hood — modern, crisp, and structured. But modern kitchens can feel a little too cool, so we looked for a small detail that could shift the room’s temperature without changing its style.
That’s where the brass straps came in.
Used only as horizontal and vertical accents, the brass adds warmth without overpowering the brushed stainless steel. The crossover lines form a subtle geometric frame, giving this brass-accent stainless steel range hood a more inviting character. And with the black apron as a final touch, the whole piece feels grounded, stylish, and quietly expressive.
When installed, the brass caught the natural light just enough to soften the steel — proof that even a minimal custom range hood can carry emotion when the materials are chosen with care.
FSS-364 Luxury Kitchen Range Hood— A Curved Brass Hood That Warms Up the Modern Kitchen
The FSS-364 stayed with us this year not because it’s a beautiful brass range hood, but because it showed how warmth can enter a modern kitchen in such a subtle way.
Its curved bell silhouette softens the clean lines around the stove, and the hand-brushed brass gives the kitchen hood a gentle glow — the kind that feels calm, lived-in, and a little nostalgic.
At Fobest, we spend a lot of time on these quiet details, because real warmth always comes from craftsmanship, not from loud design.
Our customer paired the vent hood with deep green cabinets, a classic green-and-brass combination that instantly gave the room a grounded, modern character. It’s a reminder that even in a sleek space, the right materials can shift the whole mood — turning a custom brass hood into the heart of the kitchen.
A Year of Kitchens, Stories, and Gratitude
This Thanksgiving, we’re especially grateful for one thing — the chance to step into so many different homes through our work.
Different homes, different styles, one shared feeling:
We’re grateful to be part of the places where people cook, gather, and live.
Not just making a range hood, but crafting a piece that feels right in someone’s everyday life — whether it’s the glow of brass at sunset, the softness of a curve above the stove, or the quiet warmth that handmade metal brings.
That’s the heart of Fobest.
