TWO INSTALLATION METHODS
Installing your new custom metal range hood is simple and efficient with our two recommended mounting methods. Whether you're a contractor or a DIY homeowner, this step-by-step guide will help you complete your kitchen upgrade with confidence and safety.
1. Direct Wall Mounting Using Wall Anchors or Expansion Bolts
Overview: The Top and back of the custom hoods are open. Drill mounting holes through the back of the range hood and secure it directly into the wall using heavy-duty anchors or expansion bolts.
Installation Steps:
1. Mark the Installation Height: Measure and mark the desired installation height — typically 30–36 inches above the cooktop depending on your ceiling height and hood model.
2. Drill the Holes: Hold the hood up to the wall. You can drill anywhere on the hood’s flat back panel to mount it on the wall.
2. Bracket or Hook Mounting
Overview: Secure brackets or heavy-duty hooks on the wall. The hood is then hung onto these brackets for fast setup and easy removal.
Installation Steps:
1. Measure and mount heavy-duty brackets/hooks securely into the wall
2. Prepare the Hood for Hanging: Carefully measure and drill matching holes into the back of the hood at the same height and spacing as the wall mounts.
3. Hang the Hood: Carefully lift the hood and hang it onto the mounted brackets. Use a level to ensure it sits evenly.
